Christmastime

Thought I'd share some pics of our casa at navidad.

Our little artificial Christmas tree. We love it.

No fireplace, so our bookshelves make a perfect make-shift mantel.

Rosie is obsessed with the pine cones and small ornaments. She's taken to shredding the pine cones and gnawing on the balls whenever we leave. We return to a HUGE mess. So, this only stays on the coffee table when we're at home...

And, this year, I decided to add a new wreath to our holiday decor. I just love it!

DART

John and I really love the idea of using reliable public transportation. No, not city buses. I'm talking light rails.

Like the DART, the city of Dallas' attempt at a subway system.

So when Baylor played Gonzaga at American Airlines Center over the weekend, we hopped on at the nearest station and it dropped us off right in front of the AAC.

So easy. And we saved $20 on parking, thank you very much.

And got to see some cool views of Dallas along the way.

Since my camera is no longer reliable in taking pictures quickly, clearly or that I can review afterward, you won't be seeing any pictures of the game. On that same note, I keep telling people all I want for Christmas is a new camera. You think I'll get 5 of them??!?!

Leaves of fall....

Check out these beauies in our front yard. They're something I look forward to seeing everyday.

But, once leaves start turning, we all know they eventually fall. And John and I, for the first time, felt responsible for taking initiative to rake the leaves. Especially since our neighbors keep their yard leaves-free.

Yes, we had to buy a rake. But we really didn't think we had that much to clean-up.

Trees without leaves make the perfect opportunity for Christmas ornaments.

And, help in spreading Christmas cheer throughout the streets of Dallas.

Rose Dog

Moving to Dallas has opened a whole new set of doors for Rosie.

Not only did she get a backyard, she's also been introduced to Wagging Tails Dog Park! We've taken her there the past two Saturdays!

Not going to lie, she was hazed at first. She didn't know what to think with so many other small dogs sniffing her out.

And if you know Rosie, you know that she's a little bit submissive and skiddish when you first meet.

But she'll totally be your best friend if you rub her belly. Yep, that's Rosie. With a total stranger...

And once she got the hang of it, she's seeming to really enjoy the opportunity to run sniff around with other dogs. We even took her over to our next door neighbor's house to play with their two shih tzus. And then the Browns joined us for dinner and brought their shih tzu, Charlotte, over to play with Rosie. It's safe to say, she loves making friends with all these new dogs!

But she still knows who's her best friend...
