Happy 21st birthday, Megan!

First of all, isn't this the cutest picture of Megan ever? Maybe not, but this is my favorite and how I remember her best.

I even gave her that dalmatian stuffed animal she's holding for her birthday. Clearly 101 Dalmatians was huge in 1992.

Anywho, we got to celebrate Megan's 21st with her and our family.

White chocolate raspberry Nothing Bundt Cake? Yes please!

21 (or maybe less) candles.

Me and the Megs.

Of the 15 pictures we made my Dad take this was the best one....

Happy 21st Birthday, Megan! Can't wait for you to come celebrate in Dallas!

Homecoming: East Texas Style

Earlier this month we loaded up and headed East to Clearwater Baptist Church's annual Homecoming celebration. John's grandfather is the head pastor, music minister, counselor and all things to all people at CBC. Saturday night we went out for BBQ and catfish in Winnsboro.

And then we headed back to our campsite (yes, we got to stay at a really cool lodge for the night!) and took a late-night stroll around the lake.

Sunday morning rolled around and we all dressed (in yellow!) and walked to CBC.

CBC was founded in 1879 making this year their 142nd homecoming. It was founded near an old saw mill by a group of men working there.

Pawpaw led the choir in some older hymns. John's dad, David, preached that morning. It was quite an experience and really made me appreciate what a great line of men John comes from.

And then the best part came. No East Texas homecoming is complete without a potluck. And it was DELICIOUS.

Pie table. I had my favorite, coconut.

The food filled the entire fellowship hall and we spent a few hours getting to know the other church members who love Mimi and Pawpaw.

Looking forward to the 143rd Clearwater Baptist Church Homecoming next year!
