Turning 27

Friday I celebrated my 27th birthday! The day was nothing short of a typical work day, except for the Sprinkles cupcakes, flowers, balloons and lunch with my favorite co-worker, Kelly. I guess if you have to work on your birthday, it helps to work at a place where the people acknowledge it!

Beautiful flowers from the hubs.

In the evening, we met my family in Fort Worth on Piola's patio for some wine, great food and my favorite J Rae Cookies. It was great to spend time with them, my grandparents, and Clay and Suzy.

My Mom always includes my old best friend, Rainbow Brite.

And she always sets out photos of various portraits from my past as well.

On Saturday, my Mom and I met Kendall, Courtney, Rebecca and their mom's at our favorite Fort Worth lunch spot, The Lunch Box. It was completely spontaneous that we were all able to attend, but so much fun and hope to do it more often!

The mamas.

The daughters.

Carolyn and Kendall.

Courtney and Melody.

Rebecca and DeVonne.

Apples.

Meanwhile, John spent the day with Dad, Dandy and Clay at Colonial watching the PGA golf tournament. Later we met up with friends at a Colonial party and then moseyed over to West 7th to watch the Mavs win again!
Loved getting to spend some extra time with Courtney as well!

Thanks to everyone for all of the birthday wishes making the beginning of my 27th year fun and memorable.

Catching Up

The month of May is not just my birth month, it's my favorite month of the year. Probably because so much takes place in May and it has certainly been busy for us.

We've been to:

Ranger's games (hotdogs and fireworks included)

Jerry Seinfeld stand-up comedy act

Celebrated Mother's Day and Kathleen's birthday at Hattie's

Spent time with the Hardages

John with Kathleen and Rebekah

Mimi and Pawpaw joined us too!

May birthdays!

Hardage men

Hardage women

Went to a friend's lakehouse

Joined a care group at church

And working hard for the weekend in between! We're looking forward to spending time with friends and family in Fort Worth this weekend.
