We love cooking at home on Valentine's Day and this year we continued that tradition. I started us off with some of Pioneer's Woman bruschetta. Maybe it's the ridiculous amount of butter that was used to toast the bread, but it's the best bruschetta I've ever had.
Always gotta have some skrimps. (Again, for you, Gil.)
But the real treat was John's steaks au poivre. Simply delicious.

The food was excellent but I'm a sucker for quality time together, which was the perfect gift to me for Valentine's Day. Okay, and the shoes I'd been lusting after that he gave me as well. :)
