Update

Hello, readers. The blog has been pretty slow the last few days, mostly because we haven't taken a vacation in about a week. Still, we have managed to keep ourselves busy.

For starters, the city of Waco is really excited about the Baylor Basketball team's run to the "Sweet Sixteen." The game is tonight (Friday) at 6:27 in Houston. We couldn't make it to the game, but we did make it to Wednesday's "send-off" pep rally at the SUB. A brief highlight of the event is available here. Look for us at about the 24 second mark...

Talk about enthusiasm!!

Tonight, rather than going to the game, we are having a little "watch party" here at the house with some friends. Melissa and I will spend the afternoon preparing food and, apparently, cleaning the house. She seems to think its dirty. Either way, the following dishes will, ideally, feed us and our hungry friends as we watch the bears continue their exciting tournament run.

Stuffed Mushrooms

Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos

And Melissa is making "Pepper Burger Sliders with Caramelized Onion Bleu Cheese Mayo" and "Creamy Lemon Crumb Squares." The food will, no doubt, be delicious. But it will be that much better if the bears can pull out a victory tonight.
